Nina Blazon

Nina Blazon, born in 1969 in Koper, Slovenia, studied German language and literature. Even as a youngster she loved reading fantasy books. She started writing stage plays and short stories while at university. Her first YA fantasy novel was awarded the Wolfgang Hohlbein Prize and the German Fantasy Prize. Since then, Nina Blazon's books have won numerous prizes, most recently the Fantasy Academy's 2016 Seraph Prize for The Winter of the Black Roses. The successful children's and YA author lives in Stuttgart.
