Rana Idriss
Born in Beirut 1958, studied Anthropology at the American University of Beirut and later at New York University, for graduate studies.
* General Manager of Dar al Adab since 1985 / Family Enterprise.
* Presently Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Prize for Arabic
Fiction (Arabic Booker).
* Jury panel member of Kadmos Award, (French Embassy in Beirut) best French novel to
be translated in Arabic.
* Jury panel member of Goethe Award for best short story on Beirut (Goethe Institute /
Lebanon).
* Jury panel member Creative writing workshop Najwa Barakat (Bahrain Ministry of
Culture).
* Award; Best publisher (Level Commandatore) Morocco (2016), best Arab publishing house at Sharjah bookfair (2006) and Short listed for best publishing house for Sheikh Zayed Book Awards (2018)
