Rebecca Gablé studied literature, linguistic history and medieval studies in Düsseldorf, where she subsequently worked as a lecturer in medieval English literature. Today she works as a freelance author and lives with her husband on the Lower Rhine and on Mallorca. Her historical novels and her book on the history of the English Middle Ages have all been bestsellers and translated into many languages. Especially the novels about the fate of the Waringham family now enjoy cult status among history fans.
