The graphic book 'Marek Kaminski. How to conquer the poles of the Earth. In one year\" tells the story of the achievement of the Polish polar explorer, who in May 1995, together with Wojciech Moskal, was the first Pole to conquer the North Pole of the Earth, and seven months later reached the South Pole alone. In doing so, he became the first man in the world to reach both poles in a single year.

The book has been widely recognised and translated into many languages. It received a special mention Bologna Ragazzi Award 2021 in the non-fiction category. It is also nominated and shortlisted for the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 2023.
