Andrej Blatnik and Goran Vojnović are among the most famous contemporary authors, who are not afraid to tackle political topics. Translations of their novels have just been published by Folio publishing house. Blatnik's novel Trg osvoboditve (Liberation Square) shows how modern Slovenia developed in the midst of political rebellion, poprock and capitalism. Goran Vojnović has already published several works with the same publishing house, and in his last novel as well as in the previous ones, he shows the linguistic, cultural, political and also purely private consequences of migration within the former republics of Yugoslavia, as well as the exclusion of individuals. Cultural journalist Doris Akrap, who will host the event, described his writing style: “Insanely witty, insanely tense, insanely magnificent.” The conversation will be held in English.
