Frankfurt Book Fair New York Inc.
The Frankfurt Book Fair New York – formerly known as the German Book Office, or GBO – was founded in 1998 and is one of four international business offices of Frankfurter Buchmesse. We present the Frankfurter Buchmesse throughout the year and are your liason for all Frankfurter Buchmesse related matters – on both the business and cultural side.
Your portal to the US publishing market
We bring the U.S. and German publishing industries together through our diverse portfolio of business and cultural projects. With funding from the Federal Foreign Office, we are able to conduct cultural projects, which aim to promote German literature in the US; this includes organizing and facilitating Festival Neue Literatur each year, spearheading the US jury of New Books in German, and co-hosting the GINT translation prize for aspiring translators. In addition, we publish Publishing Perspectives, an online business magazine covering the trends, people, and companies shaping the global book industry. We are industry experts and literary ambassadors, as well as your liaison for partnership endeavors in the global literary publishing world.
How you can benefit from us?
Frankfurter Buchmesse is where international publishing professionals meet to discuss new business and learn the latest industry trends. Do you know want to know more about how you can participate at the fair? We will be happy to help.
