- The Press Centre of Frankfurter Buchmesse is located in the Press Centre of Messe Frankfurt in the Torhaus, level 4.
- All events that require special accreditation, such as the opening ceremony, will be listed here as of September.
- Up to 3 members of camera teams (sound, lights, cables, etc.) can be registered by the team lead.
FAQ - Accreditation
Accreditation can be obtained through our MyBookFair(opens in a new window) customer portal or at one of our press counters at the fair. We will check and validate your credentials starting in August. Please understand that this process might take a few days.

Accreditation is only possible online via our customer portal MyBookFair until the end of Frankfurter Buchmesse.
Due to the time-consuming verification process, content creators cannot be accredited on site at the press desks.
Please note that online accreditation may take a few days if the number of visitors is high. You will receive an e-mail notification about the status of your accreditation. Please also check your spam folder.

Accredited journalists/content creators are NOT allowed to bring along additional people to the fair. Any further people need their own ticket to attend the fair. For children who are not school newspaper editors, a reduced ticket can be purchased on site (only).

On Tuesday (opening day), you need a ticket for the Opening Ceremony to enter the fair. You can find information about of those events from September on here.
Waiting times, however, are still possible due to security checks and procedures. Please ensure that your plans for the day take this potential delay into consideration.

From this year onwards, a team lead can register up to three team members (camera, sound, lighting, etc.). However, this only applies to pre-accreditation. For on-site accreditation, each team member must be accredited individually and submit proof of journalistic activity, e.g. a letter of assignment from the editorial team.

You do not need a special permission from us to take photographs or film at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.
With regard to the subsequent use of the photos or video recordings, the photographer/film team is solely responsible for compliance with the law. This means, if persons, stands or brands of third parties are visible, it is the team’s responsibility to obtain the consent to use the material from the respective third parties.

FAQ - Infrastructure
Journalists arriving by car can park free of charge at the Rebstock parking area. The fair's Rebstock car park has a direct access route from the Frankfurt West motorway exit (follow the signposted route or type "Messeparkhaus Rebstock" into your Sat Nav/GPS). There is a free transfer shuttle from Wednesday to Sunday that takes you directly to the fairground. The car park's pay station is manned until approx. 8.00 pm. Upon presentation of your press card, you will receive an exit ticket with which you can drive out free of charge.
Attention: On Tuesday (opening day) this possibility is NOT available. The nearest paid parking possibility is in the hotels "Maritim" or "Marriot".

The Press Centre of Frankfurter Buchmesse is located in the Press Centre of Messe Frankfurt in the Torhaus, level 4.
The Press Centre in the Torhaus can be reached via the lifts “A1” and “A4”. These two lifts can be found either on Level 0 or Level 3 in the Torhaus. There are buttons on the connecting doors in the building that open the doors electrically.
By public transport:
S-Bahn - shortest way:
The S-Bahn line 3, 4, 5 or 6 takes you to the stop „Messe“. Then you will enter through the entrance “Torhaus”. In the same building is our press center located on level 4. Just follow the signs for the “Press Centre”.
Tram:
From Frankfurt's central station, take line 16 (direction Ginnheim) or 17 (direction Rebstockbad), and get out at the fourth stop (Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage). Go in at the "City" entrance and follow signs for the Press Centre” in the Torhaus, level 4.
U-Bahn (metro):
From Frankfurt's central station, take the U4 (direction Bockenheimer Warte) and get out at the first stop (Festhalle/Messe). Go in at the "City" entrance and follow signs for the Press Centre” in the Torhaus, level 4.
Please note: the press ticket does not entitle the holder to use public transport for free.

There are small lockers in the Press Centre. Please leave large bags at the cloakroom. Media representatives can use the cloakrooms in every hall for free by showing their press ticket.

All participants at the Frankfurt Book Fair receive free wifi access in the 2.4 GHz frequency range. In the foyers of the halls, free WLAN in the 5 GHz frequency range is also available. You can use this wifi access to check your e-mails or surf the internet. This internet access is not suitable for applications with high data transmission! For this, you would need to use the WLAN in the press centre.
