Whoever can provide the best, most imaginitive answers to three questions about their exhibition concept will win a grand prize: an 8-sqm stand at the world’s biggest fair for content.

The Handover Ceremony at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2024 took place on the last day of the Fair: The Guest of Honour Italy bids farewell and hands over to the Philippines. The Philippines will step into a central role at the 2025 Frankfurter Buchmesse as Guest of Honour.

Next year, 246 candidates from 64 countries will be in the running for the world’s largest and most prestigious children’s literature award, the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

In order to support the Ukrainian book industry, Frankfurter Buchmesse, together with the Börsenverein Group and other partners, has started several support initiatives.

Together with the Berlinale Co-Production Market, Frankfurter Buchmesse is organising Books at Berlinale for the 19th time. This year, the event takes place on Sunday, 18 February 2024, at 2.30 pm in the Berlin House of Representatives.

Day three of the Frankfurt Book Fair is approaching and brings along numerous exciting highlights and events.

Publishers can now register for the 73rd Frankfurter Buchmesse (20–24 October 2021).  Dedicated to the topic “re:connect”, this year’s book fair is planned as an in-person event with additional digital formats, and can be flexibly adapted to pandemic-related developments. The focus will be on the international rights business and public events. This year’s Guest of Honour is Canada.
