From 15 to 19 October, Frankfurt will once again become the centre of the international book and media world.

The ticket shop is open. If you want to attend Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025, book now – digitally, efficiently and with no obligation. For five days, the world of literature will come together here: authors, publishers, booksellers, agencies, literature fans, and their communities.

Only at FBM: Where the world of literature comes together.

The annual motto ‘Only at FBM’ unites all three pillars of the book fair: marketplace, culture and festival. This is where new ideas, networks and stories are born. This is where literature is celebrated internationally – with bestsellers, debuts and surprising discoveries. The Guest of Honour, the Philippines, brings 183 languages with it – and a diverse literary scene with stars like Patricia Evangelista and Maria Ressa. The new Centre Stage in Hall 4.1 focuses on key questions: How do we defend freedom of expression in polarised times? What stories emerge when artificial intelligence has a say?

For trade visitors:

From 15 to 17 October, the fair offers an international professional programme covering current market topics – from AI in publishing to audio trends and Books-to-Screen. Included in the trade visitor ticket: the Frankfurt Kids Conference on 15 October on the topic of ‘Children's Books in a Fragile World’ – with illustrator Axel Scheffler (‘The Gruffalo’). International Publishing CEOs, experts and innovators will be speaking at the stages, such as the Frankfurt Studio, the Frankfurt International Stage and the Publishing Perspectives Forum.

For private visitors:

From 17 to 19 October, the fair will be open at the weekend to the public. New: the Pop-up Stage in the Festhalle with talks and readings on Romantasy, New Adult and BookTok topics. Admission for the general public is already possible on the Friday from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Tickets are only available online. There will be no on-site sales. The number of tickets is limited – if you want to be sure of getting in, you should book early. New: At Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025, book sales will be permitted on all days of the fair.
