Diverse voices in storytelling are essential to reflect the breadth of human experience and open new worlds for readers to explore different ideas and concepts outside their cultural upbringing. Banning languages and books as a tool of repression violates the human right of expression. This session will highlight the works of five authors while they reflect on how their book relates to the human right to freedom of opinion and expression (Article 19, Universal Declaration of Human Rights).
