Sabine Adler, Eastern Europe expert at Deutschlandfunk, reported from Moscow for many years. She was also chief of the radio broadcaster’s Berlin bureau and a correspondent in the Warsaw bureau with a focus on Poland, Belarus, the Baltic states and Ukraine. She has received several awards for her work, including being named “Political Journalist of the Year”. Most recently, her book Die Ukraine und wir. Deutschlands Versagen und die Lehren für die Zukunft (Ukraine and Us. Germany’s Failure and Lessons for the Future) was published by Chr. Links Verlag.
