Victoria Torres
Victoria Torres (La Plata, Argentina, 1968) studied Language and Literature at the National University of La Plata, Argentina. She has worked as teacher at the German universities of Bonn, Cologne and Wuppertal. Currently she teaches the Romance Seminar at the University of Cologne, Germany. Outside the academic field, she has translated into Spanish Jean Baudrillard’s Figures de l’altérité as Figuras de la alteridad (Taurus, 2000), and is co-editor of an anthology of short stories by Rodolfo Walsh translated into German. In 2016, together with Miguel Dalmaroni, she edited and wrote a preface to Golpes. Relatos y memorias de la dictadura (Seix Barral, 2016). She has also edited an anthology of American photo-texts for the publisher Paripé and Estilo Libre (2017). In 2022, also with Miguel Dalmaroni, she edited the book La guerra menos pensada. Relatos y memorias de Malvinas (Alfaguara); and, with Enrique Foffani Poesía argentina y Malvinas. Una antologia (1833-2022) (Universidad Nacional de La Plata).
