General public tickets only available online

We’re once again expecting large numbers of literature fans on the weekend of Frankfurter Buchmesse 2024. To ensure that everyone’s time at the fair is a safe and positive experience, in consultation with Messe Frankfurt, we have decided to limit the sale of general public tickets. In particular, tickets for Saturday are expected to be sold out before the fair. Therefore, there will be no ticket sales on site at the weekend. FAQ General public tickets

In order to make your visit to the fair as safe as possible, we are limiting the number of general public tickets available this year in coordination with Messe Frankfurt and will only sell them in our online ticket store. There will therefore be no ticket sales at the ticket office at the weekend.

From experience, it can be assumed that tickets for Saturday in particular will be sold out before the trade fair. Please use our online sales in good time to secure tickets for your preferred day.

The following groups are entitled to purchase discounted general public tickets:
Schoolchildren, students, pensioners, the unemployed, people with disabilities (for those with a disability recognised as level 50 and above), holders of the Frankfurt Pass, Federal or Social or Ecological Service Volunteers as well as volunteers and trainees.

A proof is required when entering the fairgrounds.

Children aged 0-6 years (inclusive) do not need a ticket and can enter the fairgrounds free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Proof of age may be required at the entrance.

Persons in wheelchairs or disabled persons with a "B" on their disabled person's pass will be admitted free of charge for themselves and their companion on presentation of their disabled person's pass.

Children up to and including 6 years of age accompanying a trade visitor or visitor will be admitted free of charge.

No, the public transport in Frankfurt (RMV) can unfortunately not be used free of charge with the general public tickets.

It is not necessary to print out your ticket, the digital version is sufficient.

You do not need to book an extra ticket for the signing sessions that take place as part of Meet the Author. Simply join the queue.

The exhibiting publishers also organise their own signing sessions in the exhibition halls. Please note that there is an extra ticketing system organised by the publishers. These tickets are free of charge and entitle you to attend the book signing. For your visit to Frankfurter Buchmesse you will need a ticket from our ticket shop.

All information on ticketing for book signings organised by the publishers will be available from September in the description of the event in our Calendar of Events or on the publishers' website.
