The Frankfurt Book Fair’s colourful marketplace: the Agora

This year the Agora will once again present an attractive programme at the geographical heart of the fair. The Open Stage and Lesezelt (Reading Tent), the Frankfurt Book Fair’s two largest event stages, will host prominent figures including Miroslav Nemec, Wolf Biermann, Bosse, DJ BoBo, Ross Anthony, Hella von Sinnen and Pater Anselm Grün. International authors such as Leon de Winter and Connie Palmen, the author duo behind the Iny Lorentz historical novels, and the fantasy-novel writer Markus Heitz will make literature a real experience for visitors.

Guest of Honour Canada presents GuestScroll to Spain – Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2022

On the last day of Frankfurter Buchmesse, the current Guest of Honour traditionally says “good bye” by presenting the coming year’s Guest of Honour with the GuestScroll. During a festive ceremony held in the Festhalle on the fairgrounds today (24 October), Caroline Fortin, representing Canada as the 2020/2021 Guest of Honour, handed over the GuestScroll to Maria José Gálvez, director general of Books and Reading Promotion in Spain’s Ministry of Culture and Sport.
