Leonid Wolkow

Political director

Leonid Volkov (born in 1980) is political director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) founded by Alexei Navalny. He entered politics in 2009 and was elected to the Municipal Duma in Ekaterinburg for four years. In 2013, he led Navalny’s campaign for mayor of Moscow and, in 2018, served as chief of staff during Navalny’s run for president. Since 2019 he has been living in Lithuania, from where he manages FBK’s political projects. His new book Putinland. Der imperiale Wahn, die russische Opposition und die Verblendung des Westens (Putinland. Imperial Insanity, the Russian Opposition and the Blindness of the West) was published this autumn by Droemer.
