Tilman Spreckelsen

Tilman Spreckelsen, born in 1967, studied German and history in Freiburg and received his doctorate in 1998. At the beginning of 2001, he interned in the feuilleton of the F.A.Z. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as an editor in the Literaturblatt, then as an editor in the science department of the F.A.Z. until the beginning of 2016. Since then, he has again been an editor in the Literaturblatt. In 2012, he received the "Volkacher Taler" from the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature. He has edited various anthologies and is the editor of "Bücher mit dem blauen Band" at Fischer. His crime novel "Das Nordseegrab" (The North Sea Grave) was awarded the Theodor Storm Prize of the city of Husum in 2014, and he continued the success with "Der Nordseespuk" (The North Sea Haunting).
