The Warsaw-Frankfurt Fellowship

For young publishing professionals with a focus on fiction and non-fiction.

The Frankfurter Buchmesse is delighted to be running its Warsaw-Frankfurt Fellowship for the first time, jointly with the Warsaw International Book Fair, for young professionals from the book industry. The programme is aimed at publishing professionals. Participants will have the unique opportunity to exchange ideas with young professionals from the neighbouring country and to take part in the Warsaw International Book Fair, as well as visits to publishing houses and networking events. The project is made possible with the financial support of the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation.

Applications are closed. The Fellowship will take place from 27 to 29 May 2026.

Eligibility criteria

  • Publishers, editors and rights & licensing managers with at least three years’ professional experience
  • Aged 35 or under
  • Good English-language skills
  • Availability for the entire duration of the programme
  • Interest in the Polish and German book markets
