tempesta founded by Carlo Cresto-Dina in 2009, produced all of Alice Rohrwacher's feature films (Corpo Celeste, Quinzaine des Realisateurs Cannes 2010, The Wonders, Jury Grand Prix Cannes 2014, Happy as Lazzaro, Best Script Cannes 2018, La Chimera, Cannes 2023 Official Competition), as well as the short films De Djess (Miu Miu Women's Tales 2015) and Le Pupille (Disney 2022 nominated for an Oscar in 2023). tempesta has also produced all the feature films of Leonardo Di Costanzo The Interval (Venezia 2012), The intruder (Quinzaine des Realisateurs Cannes 2017), The inner cage (Venezia 2021) and Elisa (Venezia 2025). In addition to these, tempesta has produced numerous films by young European authors like Irene Dionisio (Pawn Street), Chiara Bellosi (Ordinary Justice, Swing Ride), Margherita Vicario (Gloria!), selected and awarded at the most important international festivals. TV projects include Love Club (Amazon 2023) and Studio Battaglia, an adaptation of the BBC series The Split for RAI.
tempesta UK, the London branch of tempesta, produced Wildfire, the debut film of Irish director Cathy Brady (Toronto 2020) and is developing Cutting, Doyle Hopper's debut feature film, and Bronwen Parker-Rhodes' first feature film.
