Librarian from the University of Chile. Master's degree in Reading, Books, and Children's and Young Adult Literature, University of Zaragoza. President of IBBY Chile 2015-2021. Director of IBBY for Latin America and the Caribbean 2020-2022. Member of the Executive Committee of IBBY International 2022-2024. Current President of the Palabra Foundation, Executive Director of the Latin American Interactive Library for Children and Young Adult Literature (BILIJ). International consultant. Teacher of the Master's degree in Reading, Books, and Children's and Young Adult Literature at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. 2016 Outstanding Librarian Award winner. She was in charge of the National Coordination of School Libraries (CRA) of the Chilean Ministry of Education for 22 years. Under her leadership, 10,788 school libraries were created in schools and high schools throughout the country. Author of Training the School Reader (2016, University of Zaragoza Press, Spain) and Cultivating Reading in the Family: Culture and Community (2021, SM, Chile), co-author with Christian Anwandter of School Libraries for the 21st Century (2019, Narcea, Spain).
