David Taylor

David Taylor has spent over 40 years in the book trade. He began as a bookseller at Blackwell's in Oxford in 1983 and later headed Blackwell's international library supply business. After consultancy work for the Soros Foundation, he co-founded Swotbooks in 2000, an early entrant in internet bookselling.

He worked at Ingram Content Group from 2003 to 2025. As Senior Vice President, he led the international growth strategy of Ingram's print on demand service, Lightning Source, expanding it in the UK, opening a Lightning Source operation in the Australian market, setting up joint ventures in France and Sharjah, and building a partner network across Europe and Asia, including a strong presence in India. He retired in 2025.
