After a Master's degree in Publishing and Intercultural Management, Karine Leclerc quickly chose to orient her professional focus on children’s publishing, working at various companies such as Bayard, Nord-Sud, and Milan. The world of comics then opened its doors to her, and she joined the family-owned Glenat group, where she was in charge of the children’s illustrated and comics lists. She then took on the challenge of creating a comic book department at Nathan Jeunesse. In 2025, she co-founded Editions La Doux with her partner Sophie Chanourdie, a children’s and comic book publishing house incubated by the Les Nouveaux Editeurs group.
