Kateryna Mikhalitsyna

Kateryna Mikhalitsyna (1982) is a Ukrainian writer, translator, literary editor, a member of PEN Ukraine and NGO “New York Literary Festival” established by Victoriya Amelina in Donetsk region in 2021. Award winning author of nearly 20 books for children and several collections of poetry. Her picture book series “Who Grows in the Park/Garden/Woods” illustrated by Oksana Bula has been published in more then 12 countries already. Kateryna’s poems were translated into Czech, Polish, German, Lithuanian, Italian and other languages. Since the beginning of full scale Russian aggression against Ukraine Kateryna participated in multiple cultural events aimed at highlighting Russian atrocities and war crimes against Ukraine. She also coordinates a helping initiative started by Lithuanian writers on the basis of the Literature Fund of Lithuanian Writers Union.
Kateryna lives in Lviv with her family and three rescued dogs.
