Nora joined Suhrkamp and Insel Verlag as a student in 2000 and has worked there, apart from short stints at other publishing houses, ever since. She has been heading up the rights department as Director for Rights, Intellectual Property and Contracts since 2017. In this position, Nora oversees a backlist of over 30,000 works, a treasure of over 100,000 contracts and, together with her team, is responsible for closing approximately 500 translation deals each year, approx. 50 of them into English, along with agreements for film, audio, and other subsidiary rights. The authors she represents include Hermann Hesse, Thomas Bernhard, Paul Celan, Christa Wolf, Max Frisch, Theodor W. Adorno, Jürgen Habermas, Maria Stepanova, Esther Kinsky, Serhiy Zhadan, Sasha Salzmann and Dana Vowinckel.
