Composer, artist, sound designer, Olivier Girouard combines projects on and off stage. His relationship with the world is through listening. Make the link between two concomitant ideas, taste the relief of a transforming sound. His interactions with different art forms have prompted him to question how art is presented. He acts as an artistic advisor on several projects of a diverse nature (installations, scenography, design, sound design for the performing arts). He is the recipient of several prizes, including the Luminotherapy Prize (2016-2017), the 1st Hughes-LeCaine Prize (2008) from the Socan Foundation and the 1st JTTP Prize (2009). His works have been shown in North America and South America and in Europe. With Ekumen, the production company that he led for almost 10 years, he questions the environmental impact of art. He creates works to beautify and transform public space by trying to define what it means: to live together.
