At the Frankfurt Kids Festival 2026, reading is transformed into an exciting live experience. Everything revolves around the latest children’s and young adult literature – colourful, lively and full of unforgettable stories. Young book fans will meet their favourite authors, listen to suspenseful readings and immerse themselves in worlds they won’t soon forget. They can also get creative themselves – with hands-on activities, workshops and much more.

Join in, interact, experience – KiKA and funk at the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair

Across more than 500 square metres in the Forum foyer, visitors can try things out, explore and join the discussion: at the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair, KiKA and funk invite visitors to take part in a varied programme of hands-on activities.

The programme includes creative activities, opportunities to learn, and the chance to meet popular creators, presenters and KiKA characters. Visitors can also chat with the people behind the programmes and get a glimpse behind the scenes.

Im KiKA-Baumhaus gibt es viel zu entdecken.

Das aus dem Abendritual für Vorschulkinder bekannte KiKA-Baumhaus-Set lädt zum Basteln und Malen ein und bietet die Gelegenheit, mit der Redaktion ins Gespräch zu kommen. In der Kikaninchen-Schnipselwelt sind Geschick und Schnelligkeit gefragt, während an zwei großen Quiz-Screens KiKA-Wissen zu tollen Gewinnen führt.

Der silberne funk-Bus lädt zum Verweilen und Mitmachen ein.

Neben einer integrierten Fotobox für coole Erinnerungen wartet eine gemütliche Chillarea zum Entspannen auf die Besucher:innen. Das Glücksrad sorgt mit spannenden Preisen für Action, während interaktive Medienangebote zum Miträtseln und Ausprobieren anregen. Eine DIY-Station lädt außerdem dazu ein, selbst kreativ zu werden.

KiKA bringt seine Lieblingsfiguren auf die Bühne

Bei KiKA erwarten Kinder und Familien am Messesonntag von 12 bis 14 Uhr im CMF beliebte Figuren und spannende Mitmachmomente. Die Maus begeistert mit einem Live-Hörspiel und lädt das Publikum zum Zuhören, Mitdenken und Mitfiebern ein. Bei der „Kikaninchen“-Bühnenshow heißt es „Winzig groß und riesen klein“: Das kleine blaue Kikaninchen ist plötzlich überlebensgroß und erlebt gemeinsam mit seinem Freund Christian und den Kindern im Publikum Erstaunliches. Außerdem ist die Sesamstraße zu Gast und sorgt für jede Menge Spaß für gute Unterhaltung.

Step into the Screen World at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Hall 4.0 and enjoy a unique cinema experience for the whole family, with previews of upcoming film and series highlights, movie and book trailers, popcorn and many other surprises.
