The event explores the nature and specificities of solidarity in the context of war, memory and collective understanding, exploring various aspects: historical, gender, cultural heritage and political solidarity between different nations. The experience of colonialism has shaped and even nurtured the national identity of many countries around the world. What can we learn from others about their postcolonial experience? What determines the level of solidarity of different nations and countries with Ukraine? A conversation about the challenges of solidarity in times of war. And how culture can help build bridges of solidarity where they do not yet exist.

Discussion is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The programme aims to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian cultural and educational partners.
