Joshua Whitehead is a Two-Spirit, Oji Cree otâcimow from Peguis First Nation (Treaty 1). He is the author of full-metal indigiqueer (Talonbooks 2017) and Jonny Appleseed (Arsenal Pulp 2018). His creative non-fiction, Making Love With the Land, is forthcoming with Knopf Canada in 2021. Currently, he is Ph.D. candidate, lecturer and Killam scholar at the University of Calgary (Treaty 7) where he focusses on Indigenous literatures, cultures, and creative writing.
