Sonja Kaiblinger was born in Krems in 1985. She worked as an ice cream vendor, museum guide, advertising copywriter, night watchwoman, airport employee and commercial performer before becoming a teacher. She spent every spare minute putting down on paper the stories that popped into her head until she took the plunge into being a freelance writer. Today she lives in Vienna as an author of children's books and a realizer for television.
