Reading helps thinking helps living: The Ljubljana Manifesto and its relevance for libraries

In the Ljubljana Manifesto, Prof Dr Miha Kovač from the Department of Library and Information Science and Book Studies at the University of Ljubljana and other authors have called for a re-evaluation of intensive reading in the digital age and the promotion of advanced reading skills. The manifesto will be presented at the 112th BiblioCon and the importance of libraries will be discussed with Prof Dr Tom Becker, Stadtbibliothek Hannover. The event will be moderated by Frankfurter Buchmesse.
