NEXUS - into the future with a system reboot?

Historian Yuval Noah Harari became world-famous with his book Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. His new work Nexus is about the future, and the danger of soon being destroyed by the very information networks on which present-day society relies. Is “degrowth”, as the Japanese philosopher and capitalism critic Kohei Saito demands, the only way to attain a future worth living? At the event on Wednesday evening, 16 October, organised in cooperation with Süddeutsche Zeitung and Frankfurt’s Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, the two authors discuss these big questions.
