When children encounter cancer - because they themselves have the disease or because a family member has the disease - they have many questions. In her book "What is cancer all about?" gives Dr. Sarah Herlofsen answers. She explains in a clear and child-friendly way what happens in the body when the disease occurs. The book should also encourage children to talk about their thoughts, fears and desires. "What is cancer all about?" aimed at children from 6 years of age. It was illustrated by Dagmar Geisler and is published in cooperation with the German Cancer Aid. 50 cents per book sold go to the charitable foundation. In a foreword, Cornelia Scheel, daughter of Dr. Mildred Scheel, who founded the German Cancer Aid in 1974, supports the publication.
