After working in the editorial departments at Cornerstone (PRH UK) and Picador (Macmillan UK), Charlie moved into marketing before becoming a literary scout. She worked at two other UK literary scouting agencies before founding Lansdowne Literary in 2023, where she covers the UK market for a range of international publishers.
