Christian Filips, born 1981, lives in Berlin as freelance writer, theatre director and dramaturg. Family roots in Bačka, Yugoslavia, grew up in Osthofen, visited a European school in Belgium. Studied in Vienna and Berlin. 2001 Rimbaud Prize of ORF (Austria). Since 2006 program and archive director of Sing-Akademie zu Berlin. Literary works have been published by Urs Engeler Editor since 2009. Recent publications: Hot Fusions, Beta Album (2018), The Immortal Clown (2020). Theater works since 2010, mainly at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. In cooperation with Orsolya Kalász he translated Attila Jószef and Ágnes Nemes Nagy from Hungarian into German.
