Diana Passy Yip
Diana Passy Yip is a literary scout and event organizer who fosters a close connection with readers and fans in order to understand their demands and apply that knowledge within the book business.
She entered the publishing market in 2009, when social media was still a new concept, and led the effort to bring Grupo Companhia das Letras into the world of fandoms and literary influencers, as well as taking part in the establishment of its new YA imprint, Seguinte.
In 2017, she created FLIPOP (Pop Literature Festival), the first event in Brazil centered on young readers. The festival helped shift perceptions around YA and nurtured a community of local authors who now populate bestseller lists.
From 2020 to 2024, she served as panel curator for the São Paulo International Book Fair, selecting authors and themes for a program of roundtables and signing sessions that drew over 700,000 visitors. Her work with literary communities, both online and offline, led to her being selected for the Frankfurt Book Fair Young Talents program in 2018.
