Horst von Buttlar

Horst von Buttlar is editor-in-chief of the business magazine "Capital" and editor-in-chief of "ntv, Wirtschaft und Wissen" on RTL News. In addition, he is host of the successful business podcast "Die Stunde Null." He studied Slavic studies, history and political science and graduated from the German School of Journalism in Munich. In 2004, he joined the "Financial Times Deutschland" (FTD) as an editor and took over as head of the reporter team in 2007. In 2009, he became head of department at G+J Wirtschaftsmedien ("FTD," "Capital," "Impulse," "Business Punk"). In 2005, he was awarded the Theodor Wolff Prize. In 2008, he was awarded the Herbert Quandt Media Prize for Business Journalism, and in 2019 he was named "Business Journalist of the Year.
