Karin Kalisa was born in 1965. After working in Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Tokyo and Vienna, she has been living in East Berlin for several years. Both as a scientist and with a literary eye, she researches in the fields of Asian languages, philosophical figures of thought, and ethnological descriptions. After Karin Kalisa's first novel “Sungs Laden”, her winter narrative “Sternstunde” and her other novels “Radio Activity”, “Bergsalz” and “Fischers Frau” were published.
