Peter Kraus vom Cleff
Peter Kraus vom Cleff was working for more than 20 years in various companies of the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, most recently as managing director of Rowohlt Verlag since 2008. Before entering the book industry, Kraus vom Cleff, who was born in Wuppertal and holds a degree in economics, worked for five years in international and group controlling at Mannesmann-Demag AG. In 1999, he began working for the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, initially in controlling and project management in trade publishing. Since 2002, he has also been commercial managing director of Kindler Verlag, and from 2004 to 2008, managing director of Hanseatische Gesellschaft für Verlagsservice mbH. In the Börsenverein, he has been deputy chairman of the publishers' committee since 2012. Since 2017, he has been involved in the Fedeartion of European Publishers (FEP) in an official capacity, and in 2020 he was elected its president. On 1 January 2022, Peter Kraus vom Cleff (54) will become the new Chief Executive Officer of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels.
