Raquel Menezes is the publisher of Oficina Raquel, an independent publisher whose motto is "More than books: diversity!" She was president of the Brazilian Federation of Independent Publishers Libre (Liga Brasileira de Editoras) for two terms. In 2019, she was a finalist in the young talent competition Jovens Talentos da Indústria do Livro of the Brazilian industry magazine PublishNews.
