Romy Fölck was born in Meißen in 1974. She studied law and worked in business for many years. In her mid-30s, she decided to give her dream of being a writer a chance. She quit her job and flat in Leipzig, and moved north. Here she lives together with her husband and their runaway chicken Helga. Romy Fölck writes novels in a house between dykes and apple trees on the Elbe.
