Sylvia Rieß grew up in rural central Hesse. Besides writing, it was always her wish to become a veterinarian. Today, she lives back in her homeland with her husband, her two cats and her horses. With the publication of her first book "Der Stern von Erui" (The Star of Erui), she finally fulfilled her dream of being a veterinarian and a writer.
