Ulrike Crespo (1950-2019) was a photograpjer and psychologist. From 2011 onwards, 15 books on her photography series were published in close succession. Two publications ("Twilight" 2012 and "Under the Skin of Water" 2015) were nominated for the German Photo Book Prize. Her photographs have been shown in solo shows and group exhibitions in Frankfurt am Main, Vienna, Munich, Heidelberg, Düsseldorf and Schull (Ireland), among others. From 2001 onwards, Ulrike Crespo supprted projects in the fields of culture, education and social affairs by establishing the Crespo Foundation in Frankfurt am Main. As an art collector, she donated valuable works of art to the MMK, the Städelmuseum and the Romantikmuseum in Frankfurt.
