AI is the newest member of the research ecosystem. It can write and read, search and synthesize, and it’s an amplifier. It can amplify access, understanding, connections, and ultimately the impact of research. But it can also amplify inaccuracies, bias, and existing inefficiencies.

As we build the knowledge infrastructure for the AI era, what if we’re focused so much on protecting existing value in the system that we miss out on opportunities to make the system multiply knowledge for bigger impact?

Drawing on her experience across the worlds of technology and publishing, Jess Kowalski (EVP and General Manager for Research at Wiley) lays a path from where the industry is today to how societies and publishers can design a research ecosystem that multiplies the impact of knowledge.
