José Andrés Torres Mora is currently president of Acción Cultural Española, an agency that orchestrates public support for the promotion of culture, both in Spain and overseas. During a period of ten years he was Spokesman of the Committee on Culture of the Congress of Deputies and formed part of the Subcommittee that elaborated several cultural Statutes. Torres Mora is Doctor and Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid and author of two books and numerous academic and opinion articles.
