The Young Voices Network (YVN) is an international cross‑institutional initiative—a network of networks. Together with partners across literature, publishing, and free expression, we aim to help young voices connect across borders, gain visibility, and access opportunities for exchange, resources, and platforms.
Young voices speak up through many mediums—within literature and publishing, and also through journalism, arts, cultural work, digital formats, and activism. At the same time, spaces for peaceful free expression are shrinking in many contexts, and access to visibility, mentorship, and international networks remains unequal. YVN responds by bringing established networks closer together and by sharing information, opportunities, and connections more effectively.
YVN was initiated in 2026 in cooperation, among others, with the International Publishers Association (IPA), PEN International, and the World Expression Forum (WEXFO). The network is a work in progress—content and formats will be developed step by step with partners and community feedback.
