The application period begins today.

Frankfurter Buchmesse is awarding two exhibition stands to publishing partners as part of a new wildcard campaign. Service providers in the international publishing and information industry can now apply for one of the two free 8-square-metre stands at the 78th Frankfurter Buchmesse (7–11 October 2026).

Companies that have never exhibited at Frankfurter Buchmesse before or last exhibited in 2017 are eligible to participate. The wildcards will be awarded in two categories: one for a company from the DACH region (German speaking region) and one for an international company. Applications can be submitted from now until 15 January 2026 using the web form at www.buchmesse.de/en/wildcard(opens in a new window).

The campaign is aimed at companies that support the value chain in the publishing industry and provide innovative support for the digital transformation of publishers, bookshops and libraries. This includes services from the following areas, among others:

  • Sales & Distribution
  • Printing & Production
  • CMS, Content-and Data-Services
  • Consulting & Coaching
  • IT and Software
  • PR and Marketing

The wildcard package includes an 8 m² row stand at the 2026 Book Fair, including environmental and energy fee, communications fee, package "Furniture & Light M", three exhibitor tickets and ten trade visitor one-day tickets. Winners will benefit from a comprehensive presence at the leading international trade fair for publishing. In addition to a significant increase in brand awareness and visibility, participation in the fair offers valuable opportunities for networking and acquiring new customers, market observation and positioning as an innovation driver in the industry.

With the Wildcard, Frankfurter Buchmesse is specifically expanding the Publishing Partners section at the fair. The services provided by publishing partners are becoming increasingly important in the industry. They help companies to optimise processes and develop digital business models, for example, in order to remain competitive.
